Dream Faroe Islands
While settled in the year 300, the Faroe Islands seem frozen in time; an archipelago of 18 mountainous islands towering out of the surrounding sea, located half-way between Iceland and Scotland in the North Atlantic Ocean. An idyllic escape, peacefully set among lush green valleys, imposing basalt cliffs and waterfalls plunging directly into the wind whipped ocean.
Funningsfjørður
Funningsfjørður is situated on Eysturoy island and is one of the deepest fjords in the Faroe Islands. You can get an amazing view of Funninggur Fjord when you do a short hike to Hvíthamar. While near the largest city in the Faroe Islands, it's still remarkably remote.
Mykines
Enjoy unending views of the ocean to the west and other Faroe islands to the east as you hike across the island dubbed the “paradise of birds” because of its magnificent and rich bird life, including hundreds of cute puffins nestled in burrows in the clifftops during the summer months. The hike from the old solitary Mykines village of turf-roofed houses to the lighthouse at the end of the the islet of Mykineshólmur is truly something special – an otherworldly experience at the edge of this world.
Mulafossur Waterfall
This one is a classic tourist site, but well worth a visit for the the spectacular scenery and photographic opportunity.
