Dream Bhutan
The only way to truly understand how special the Kingdom of Bhutan is to experience it first-hand, to see beyond the surface at a distinctly more local level—closer to the living heart of Bhutan.
Young Monks
Explore unique aspects of life in a monastery through introductions some of the esoteric Buddhist practices in one of Bhutan's well-known monasteries.
Buddha Point Thimphu
It is locally named Buddha Point but the actual name is Kuensel Phodrang. This gigantic Shakyamuni Buddha statue is constructed in the mountains of Bhutan and is an easy hike or a quick drive from the center of Thimphu. The statue houses over one hundred thousand smaller Buddha statues. The night view of Thimphu town from the Buddha point is ravishing and magical.
Gross National Happiness
Gross national happiness (GNH) is a measure of economic and moral progress that the country of Bhutan introduced in the 1970s as an alternative to gross domestic product. This unique measure takes into account good governance, sustainable development, preservation and promotion of culture, and environmental conservation in lieu of pure economic measurements.
